 FAQs

  • “Doulas are trained in postpartum adjustment, newborn characteristics, care, feeding and development and the promotion of parent-infant bonding. They are experienced in supporting families through their postpartum experience. Coming into the home during the fourth trimester following birth, the doula's role is to provide education, nonjudgmental support and companionship; and to assist with newborn care and family adjustment, meal preparation and light household tasks. Postpartum doulas offer evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents and can make appropriate referrals when necessary.” - DONA International

  • At the beginning of each shift your doula will check in with you. We want to hear how you are doing, and how we can best support you each day. This time can be spent however you would like. If you have any questions or issues that arise, we can talk. Need to vent, or simply a listening ear? We’ve got you! Or if for example, you just need sleep, we would be happy to soothe your baby or take care of the home while you catch up on some much needed rest. During our time in your home, we will assess the needs of that day. If we see a pile of dishes, we’ll likely wash them. Pile of laundry? Folded and put away! Need a shower? Great! We are here to hold and soothe your baby, while you take a nice, long, hot shower. As your postpartum doula, it is our goal to anticipate needs when possible. But please, never hesitate to tell us exactly what you would like to be taken off your plate today. We are here for YOU.

  • We currently only offer daytime support. However, we would be happy to refer you to some wonderful Postpartum Doulas that offer overnight support.

  • We are excited to get to know you!

Please fill out the contact form, and we will reach out soon to schedule your video consultation. Consultations are 30 minutes via Zoom, and allow us to get to know each other and learn how we can best support you.

You will be sent booking information shortly after our chat. If you decide to move forward in working with us, the next step if to review and sign the contract. Once the contract is signed and the 50% retainer fee is paid, the doula will clear her schedule for the hours you have booked.

Next, we will schedule your complimentry prenatal visit (in-home or virtual option). This is a wonderful time to meet and plan before your baby arrives. Ask your postpartum doula questions, offer a home tour to get them familiar with your space, discuss baby products, or review postpartum care plan with your doula.

Clients are welcome to contact their doula for text, email, or phone support. We are here to support you!
