Hi! I’m Megan

Postpartum Doula | Miscarriage Doula

I’m Megan Hudson (she/her). I’m based in Seattle, WA, where I live with my amazing husband and our adorable adopted pittie, Ella. I am very much a proud dog mom! My husband and I are originally from the Midwest, but we have called Seattle home for nearly a decade. I can say with certainty that I fell in love with the stunning natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest instantly.

I founded Intuitively You Doula, LLC in August 2020 shortly after completing my first doula training. As I reflect on my journey from early childhood education to becoming a Postpartum Doula, I am filled with gratitude for the invaluable lessons I've learned along the way. Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of caring for and nurturing dozens and dozens of children and families in the greater Seattle area. I can wholeheartedly say that each and every one of them have enriched my life beyond measure. My dedication to supporting families during their most pivotal moments has become a cornerstone of my identity, shaping my path in profound and beautiful ways. My heart brims with gratitude for every single student, nanny kid, and doula family who have contributed to the person I am today. I am forever thankful to each and every one! ♡♡

Throughout my years in college, I gained valuable experience working as a nanny, household manager, and tutor for numerous families. These diverse roles allowed me to develop an understanding of family dynamics and the importance of holistic care for the entire family. Nanny experience gave me realistic insights into the challenges that parents face during the early stages of parenthood. Transitioning into the field of teaching further enriched my understanding of child development and family dynamics.

I graduated in 2017 from City University of Seattle with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Reading. During my time as a Kindergarten teacher, I couldn't help but notice the significant need for more comprehensive support for families, particularly parents. My time as a teacher underscored the vital link between children's well-being and the holistic support provided to their families. This realization was further reinforced in my personal life as I witnessed the striking gap in postpartum care for families. It prompted me to ponder deeply on how we can truly set our children up for thriving and healthy lives if we do not equally support and care for the very individuals tasked with raising them.

As a postpartum doula, I hold the firm belief that all families deserve to be supported, heard, and cared for during the transformative postpartum period. Parenting is a monumental journey, and no one should have to navigate the challenges of postpartum alone. I recognize that as humans, we thrive in community and connection. It is my deep conviction that every family should have access to compassionate and non-judgmental support during this vulnerable time. As your postpartum doula, my primary goal is to create a sense of calm, understanding, and empowerment, providing you with the tools and encouragement to build confidence in parenting your baby in a way that aligns with your unique values and desires. I am committed to walking alongside you, offering practical assistance, emotional support, and evidence-based information to help you navigate the postpartum period with greater ease and confidence.
